Job Hunting?
This Book Has Savvy Advice For Anyone Who May Lose Their Job...Or Has Lost Their Job
A Great Book For Job Hunters In The 21st Century
by Harris Jensen, MD
Editor, Good Day Journal
I was 15 and thought I was a hero when I met John Arnold. OK. He was married to my cousin. But here was this powerful guy, city manager of my home town, Minot, ND, and he was bright, educated and interested in me and my humble hobbies, such as duck hunting. I was just a ittle 15 year old guy. He took an interest in hearing how I could sneak up on ducks and such, and around the dinner table talk could turn to world events, most anything. He introduced me to thinking about things in the "big picture," taking a critical and careful point of view, and not being shy to challenge the status quo. But being smart about it.
I used some of that in the years that followed, including in my years in medical school. John had a great way of being friendly but, well, in locker room language, bright as hell in talking about relevant topics.
He's put some of his years of experience in solving problems together in writing this book. We need something like this book in this country. Millions of educated, hard working, Americans are looking for work, or are underemployed. And trying to support their families and hold onto their house. They need new tactics for getting the job they deserve.
This book puts tools in their hands they need. Check out some pages of this sage advice from a man of integrity at google books at this link: John Arnold.
I highly recommend it.
